Next week thousands of rockers will head to Columbia Maryland for the return of the internationally renowned M3 Rock Festival.

This will be the Merriweather Post pavilion’s 12th edition of the 80s rock music festival. Drawing diehard fans from 6 continents, 20 countries, and every single state in the nation- boasting it’s more than just a music festival it’s an 80s arena rock experience! New this year, is the venues Skylawn, a grassy ground 43 feet in the air above the pavilion- Its like walking on air with the views to match.

This year’s festivities begin on Friday, July 2 where fans can rock out with Kix, Slaughter, The Iron Maidens and newly added Tokyo motor Fist (featuring Ted Poley, from Danger Danger and guitarist Steve Brown from TRIXTER)

The long anticipated three day outdoor festival will be filled all weekend with nonstop rock and your favorite songs form: Night Ranger, Warrant, Queensryche, Winger and Lita Ford just to name a few. (For the full list of scheduled performers check out the official M3 website at www.m3rockfest.com )

I caught up with Sam Bam Koltun guitarist from Faster Pussycat who is currently out on tour. The guys from Faster will be hitting the stage at M3 on Sunday. I asked Sam what he is most looking forward to about playing at this years M3 Festival. “While this is not my first M3 Festival, it is my first time with Faster Pussycat. I am very much looking forward to seeing a lot of friends, a lot of familiar faces and excited to play the Merriweather Post Pavilion once again.”

The guys from Faster hit the road back on June 18th, and will be out all summer long with their Straight Outta Quarantine tour. They spent their down time over the last year in the studio working on some new material, and their new single “NOLA” dropped on May 21, 2021. After this long year with out live music Sam said, “Its been Incredible being back on the road. Somewhat surreal to be honest - playing in front of crowds of people again, but nonetheless extremely excited to be back out and playing.”

If you wont be in Maryland to catch Faster Pussycat at the M3 Festival, check out their website for a full list of tour dates near you. ( www.fasterPussycat.com ) For our Local Detroiters you can catch Faster Pussycat at the Diesel Lounge in Chesterfield on Friday, July 2 with fellow M3 rockers Enuff Z Nuff.
